Check out the New Elements We Added to the Periodic Table of Google Analytics

Acquisition: Email traffic

Here at Jeffalytics, we value adventure and good stories. The past few weeks I have been working on both.

It started with me finally releasing the Periodic Table of Google Analytics last week, after a year of procrastination tweaks.

Now we are releasing videos where I describe the elements on camera.

With a twist, of course, each element is recorded on location from wherever I happen to be at the time.

The first 10 elements were recorded on location in Italy, and they have been an adventure to say the least. I learned that filming in a train station is not a great idea, bringing filming equipment along on a 15,000+ step hike is not a great idea, and filming with horses and roosters can be more distracting than you would think.

But I also learned two important lessons: You don’t need a script to tell a story, and recording videos on location makes the mundane seem a little more approachable. And so that is where we are at with the periodic table of Google Analytics.

This week, we released 2 new elements on our YouTube Channel: Demographics and Email Traffic.

Listed under the Audience category, Demographics is about getting to know your visitors better.

Within the demographics report, you’ll be able to find information on the gender and age group of your visitors. See here for the full report.

The Email traffic element can be found under the Acquisition category. Email traffic is to measure and report the traffic driven to your website through email marketing campaigns. See the full email traffic element page.
